U-505
Submarine

The project focused on a unique set of blueprints detailing the iconic design for popular U- 505 Submarine widely used by the German Reich during World War2. The sheets capture the details of font and style specific to that time. 

 

The blueprints showed damage from light, tears along folds, wrinkles, and creasing. The process required the sheets to be cleaned, humidified and repaired. Once restored, the sheets were numbered and ordered to be archived into flat storage compartments.
